WORK HAS BEGUN ON THE CULVERT REPLACEMENT IN THE AREA OF HOUSE #101 BELL HOLLOW ROAD.

PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN DRIVING THROUGH THE AREA.   THE ROADWAY SHOULD REMAIN OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION.  THIS PROJECT MAY TAKE UP TO SIX MONTHS.

Military Tribute Banner Honorees in Putnam Valley

View the 2 and 1/2 minute video by Sheryl Luongo showing the banners honoring Putnam Valley Town Residents who have served or are still serving in the armed forces.

This Military Tribute Banner Project was organized by Sheryl, who was able to get volunteers from the PV Highway Department to help hang the banners on utility poles in Town, in time for the Memorial Day Convoy.

STAR Exemption.


The Highway Department can no longer accept used motor oil. You can return your used oil to an authorized garage or to Auto Zone.  We also do not accept paint cans with any paint residue, pesticides, herbicides, oils, lubricants, acids, thinners and any other materials or substances of a flammable or poisonous nature.  No propane tanks, empty or otherwise.


E-Waste Drop-off

Putnam Valley residents can drop off electronic waste components such as computers, laptops, TVs, stereos, telephones, cell phones, cameras, printers, and fax machines from 7:30 AM until 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday up at our Highway Garage. Proof of residency is required. If you have any questions or are unsure of an item that is eligible for drop-off, please call 845-526-9114.


Metal Items Drop-off

Putnam Valley residents can drop off any predominantly metal items such as stoves, dishwashers, hot water tanks, holding tanks, metal sinks, metal tubs, metal kitchen and bathroom fixtures, lawn machinery, car/truck batteries, metal lawn furniture, bicycles, and exercise equipment from 7:30 AM until 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday up at our Highway Garage. Proof of residency is required. If you have any questions or are unsure of an item that is eligible for drop-off, please call 845-526-9114.


Medication Drop-Off Box – Now at local Pharmacy

Putnam Valley NO LONGER has a medication drop-off box per a new state regulation. There is a Medication Drop Box located at Putnam Valley Pharmacy, 11 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley.
It is available during business hours there.
