PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Putnam Valley duly adopted RESOLUTION # R17-206 which amends Town Code Local Law Chapter 165; Sections 9 thru 13; “Zoning” and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Town Board hereby adopts Local Law Chapter 157 of the Town Code entitled, “Stone Walls and Stone Chambers Protection and Preservation” on June 14, 2017.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Putnam Valley duly adopted Local Law #3 – 2017 on October 18, 2017; which is a local law to amend Article 8 Cold War Veteran’s Exemption Code Section 108-33. It is the intent of this Local Law to provide qualifying owners of Real Property to continue as qualifying owners without regard to a ten (10) year limitation.
Section 5 – Effective date: This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.

That the Town Board authorize the Supervisor to sign into law the following:
- 44.1 Purpose.
- 44.2 Smoking Prohibited.
- 44.3
- Any person convicted of a violation of this article shall be guilty of a violation and punished by a warning for a first offense.
- Any person convicted of a second violation or more of this article shall be guilty of a violation and punished by a fine of not more than $50.00 for each offense.
- The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, or any other agency, officer or employee designated by the Town Board by resolution shall be charged with the enforcement of this article.

MODIFICATION OF LOCAL LAW #165-44A
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Putnam Valley duly adopted the modification of Local Law #165-44A of the Town Zoning Code on April 6, 2016.
A. Changes, alterations, additions, and/or repairs to all existing structures that are nonconforming, whose setbacks are nonconforming, or are on lots that are nonconforming and that were built prior to the effective date of this chapter shall be permitted, provided that:
1. The nonconforming front, side and rear setbacks are not decreased, and no additions in height, or footprint are made to any side of the structure where a setback nonconformity exists.
2. The added living space shall not exceed 20% of the existing livable floor space except when the space is in the basement within the footprint of the residence

MODIFICATION OF THE BASEMENT REGULATION LOCAL LAW§ 165-44 A (2)

Amendment of Local Law §165-44 A (2), states:
165-44 A. Nonconforming structures.
A. Changes, alterations, additions and/or repairs to all existing structures that are nonconforming, whose setbacks are nonconforming, or are on lots that are nonconforming and that were built prior to the effective date of this chapter shall be permitted, provided that:
- The nonconforming front, side and rear setbacks are not decreased, and no additions in height or footprint are made to any side of the structure where a setback nononformity exists.
- The added living space shall not exceed 20% of the existing livable floor space except when the space is in the basement within the footprint of the residence.
The effect of this language will exclude improvements that require approval of the Planning
Board for construction as set forth above.
Supervisor Oliverio moved to close the Public Hearing
Councilman Mackay seconded, unanimously carried.

RESOLUTION TO SET ASIDE AREAS AT LAKE PEEKSKILL FOR BOATS- CARRARA’S BEACH

RESOLUTION #R 15- 258
WHEREAS, the Lake Peekskill Improvement District (the “District”) has requested that space be allocated at Carrara’s Beach for both boat storage and a boat ramp and docking;and
WHEREAS the configuration of the beach property is such that it is possible without inconvenience to the bathing facilities to set aside areas of the parcel for such boat activity;
NOW,THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED that there shall be set aside for the storage of boats that portion of Carrara’s Beach known and designated on the tax map as Section 83.81, Block 2,Lot 1, which is on the left of the bathing area facing the lake; and be it, further
RESOLVED, that there shall be reserved for a boat ramp and docking facility at this beach on the extreme right side of the beach facing the lake known and designated on the tax map as Section 83.81, Block 2, Lot 4; and be it further
RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be posted on the Putnam Valley website, and in Putnam Valley Town Hall, within five days following its adoption

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW #4-2013
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Putnam Valley duly adopted Local Law #4 -2013, on March 20, 2013, a Local Law to amend Putnam Valley Town Code Chapter 102 (Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control) so as to extend the coverage of said Chapter to construction activities resulting in more than 5000 square feet of soil disturbance within the New York City Watershed.
