Alison Jolicoeur
Town Supervisor
Alison Jolicoeur serves as Town Supervisor of Putnam Valley, bringing a strong background in community leadership, environmental sustainability, and public service.
Supervisor Jolicoeur is the founder of Beacon of Light Wellness and has more than two decades of experience raising awareness around holistic health, community wellness, and resilience-focused initiatives. Since 2013, her work has emphasized preventative wellbeing and the understanding that the health of individuals directly impacts the strength and wellbeing of the community as a whole.
In 2016, Supervisor Jolicoeur founded Second Chance Foods, a Putnam County–based nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity and reducing food waste through community partnerships and regional food recovery efforts. The organization has grown into a trusted local resource supporting residents in need while advancing sustainable food systems.
Supervisor Jolicoeur is a strong proponent of environmental stewardship, regenerative land-use practices, and policies that support local agriculture and food systems. She recognizes the importance of responsible planning, conservation, and infrastructure investment in maintaining the town’s natural resources and overall quality of life.
She holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Center for Bioregional Living, endorsed by the Permaculture Institute of America, which informs her approach to sustainable systems, land use, and long-term community planning.
As Town Supervisor, Alison Jolicoeur is committed to transparent governance, thoughtful economic development, environmental protection, and policies that strengthen infrastructure, support residents, and ensure Putnam Valley remains a healthy, resilient, and thriving community for generations to come.
