Town of Putnam Valley Comprehensive Plan Update

The Town of Putnam Valley is commonly referred to as the “Town of Lakes”. In recent years, Oscawana Lake, Roaring Brook Lake, and Lake Peekskill (pictured) have experienced frequent harmful algal blooms.

Updating the comprehensive plan will enable the Town to effectively identify strategies that target the causes of these harmful algal blooms, including reducing phosphorus loading from stormwater runoff.
